AAOS2018: Autologous bone graft with and without PRP in core decompression for ONFH
30 patients with osteonecrosis of the femoral head were randomized to core decompression completed with either a platelet-rich plasma incorporated autologous bone graft, or an autologous bone graft alone. Patients were assessed for clinical and radiographic results over a 36-month follow-up. Success rates for both clinical and radiographic outcomes were significantly higher among the PRP-incorporated ABG group compared to the ABG alone group.
