Seven randomized controlled trials were included in this meta-analysis which compared function on the Victorian Institute of Sports Assessment - Achilles questionnaire (VISA-A) between autologous blood product injection and placebo group (sham injection, no injection, or physiotherapy alone). Pooled results demonstrated no significant differences between ABP groups and placebo groups for VISA-A scores at 4-6 weeks, 12 weeks, 24 weeks, or 48 weeks.
