Interferential current therapy in addition to standard of care for subacromial impingement syndrome
Eur J Phys Rehabil Med. 2018 Jun;54(3):351-35765 patients with subacromial impingement syndrome were randomized to either active interferential current therapy or sham interferential current therapy. All patients were also administered exercise therapy, cryotherapy, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug therapy. The treatment period was two weeks, after which patients were assessed for pain, function, and disability measures. Follow-up was also performed at 1 month after the completion of treatment. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups for any measure at either the completion of treatment or at 1-month follow-up.
