Accuracy and radiation time not altered with robot-assisted versus freehand pedicle screw insertion
Int J Med Robot. 2018 Jun;14(3):e1892Nine studies were included in this meta-analysis comparing robot-assisted and freehand pedicle screw placement in spine surgery. The main outcome was the rate of accurate pedicle screw placement, which did not significantly differ between RA and FH groups. Additionally, the rate of major complications did not significantly differ between groups. Operative time was significantly longer among RA groups compared to FH groups.
