Short-term function better with arthroscopic release vs. hydrodilatation for primary frozen shoulder
J Shoulder Elbow Surg. 2018 Aug;27(8):1401-1406. doi: 10.1016/j.jse.2018.04.00250 patients with idiopathic frozen shoulder were randomized to either arthroscopic capsular release or hydrodilitation under fluoroscopy. Primary outcome was function on the Oxford Shoulder Score, while secondary outcomes included health-related quality of life and shoulder range of motion. Follow-up was scheduled for 6 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months. Results demonstrated significantly greater OSS, range of forward elevation, and range of external rotation in the ACR group compared to the HD group.
