Arthroscopic surgery vs nonoperative treatment in patients over 40yo with degenerative meniscal tear
Arch Orthop Trauma Surg. 2018 Dec;138(12):1731-1739.9 randomized controlled trials were included in this meta-analysis, comparing arthroscopic surgery to conservative management for the treatment of degenerative meniscal tears in patients over the age of 40 years. Outcomes of interest included knee pain and knee function. The results from this study found no significant differences in the pooled knee pain or knee function scores between the surgical group and the conservative treatment group.
