Dry needling improves clinical outcomes in patients with trigger finger

58 patients with trigger finger were randomized to receive a single session of dry needling therapy or no intervention. Outcomes of interest included pain on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Disability of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) score, pinch grip strength, A1 pulley thickness and tendon thickness. Follow up was performed 1 week after treatment. Results from this study revealed significant improvements in all outcomes in the dry needling group.
