COA/ICORS2019: Below elbow vs. above elbow cast for paediatric displaced distal forearm fractures
264 children with displaced distal forearm fractures were randomized to receive an above elbow or below elbow plaster of paris cast. The outcome of interest was the efficacy of treatment, measured as the absence of re-displacement. Follow up was performed at 1 week. Results revealed significantly higher efficacy in the below elbow group compared to the above elbow group.
