8 studies comparing kinesiotaping with or without conventional therapy to placebo taping or conventional therapy were included in this meta-analysis comparing Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain scores and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) scores. Pooled results showed significantly different VAS pain scores and ODI scores in favour of the kinesiotaping group compared to the control group.
