Effect of kinesio-tape with exercise on outcomes in patients with shoulder impingement syndrome

36 patients with round shoulder posture and shoulder impingement syndrome were randomized to receive an exercise protocol with either kinesiology taping or placebo taping with no tension. Outcomes of interest included pain on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS), shoulder angle and the Flexilevel Scale of Shoulder Function (FLEX-SF). Follow up was performed at 2 and 4 weeks post-treatment. Results revealed no significant group differences over time between the two groups in all outcomes.
