Mulligan's technique effective in reducing pain and improving function for knee osteoarthritis

Thirty patients above the age of 45 years old with knee osteoarthritis were randomized to receive mobilization with movement therapy using the Mulligan's technique or sham mobilization. The outcomes of interest included pain on a numeric rating scale (NRS) and the timed up and go (TUG) test. Outcomes were assessed upon completion of the assigned treatment. Results found both pain scores and TUG test time to be significantly lower in the intervention group compared to the sham group.
