
Similar ten-year outcomes between 8wk and 12wk weightbearing protocols after MACI
Am J Sports Med. 2020 Jan;48(1):133-142.Seventy patients receiving matrix-induced autologous chondrocyte implantation (MACI) for the treatment of chondral lesions were randomized to receive a post-operative weight-bearing protocol performed over 8 weeks or 12 weeks. Patient-reported clinical outcomes and radiological outcomes were examined 10 years post-treatment. Results revealed no significant clinical or radiological differences between the two groups.
