Physical activity promotion with e-health interventions is effective in elderly population

Thirty-eight studies including 11,194 elderly patients were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing e-health interventions for physical activity promotion and control. The outcomes of interest included physical activity time measured by questionnaire and objective wearable devices, step count and energy expenditure. Pooled results revealed all outcomes to be significantly in favour of the e-health group compared to the control group.
