COA 2020: Latissimus Dorsi Tendon Transfer vs Rotator Cuff Repair for Treatment of Rotator Cuff Tear
One hundred and two patients from 2012 to 2018 with massive rotator cuff tears were randomized to receive a latissimus dorsi tendon transfer or a rotator cuff repair. The outcome of interest was acromiohumeral distance, which was assessed at 6, 12 and 24 months post-operation. Results revealed no significant difference in acromiohumeral distance between the two groups at all time-points.
