Prognostic Factors for Intra-Articular Hyaluronic Acid (Euflexxa) Treatment for Knee Osteoarthritis

Patients’ data from the FLEXX trial and its subsequent extension trial were analyzed to identify factors associated with effects of intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid (IA-HA) among patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Poorer baseline characteristics of patients, including higher pain score, higher WOMAC subscales, and Kellgren Lawrence (K-L) grade 3 were associated with worse outcomes.
