Anti-Inflammatory Effects of IA-HA: Systematic Review

Forty-seven non-clinical, basic science articles describing the anti-inflammatory mechanism of hyaluronic acid (HA) treatment for osteoarthritis (OA) were included in this systematic review. The key findings were summarized based on the categorical inflammatory response; categories included HA-CD44, HA-TLR-4, HA-LAYN, and HA-ICAM-1 receptor responses.
