Rheological Properties of Intra-articular Hyaluronic Acid Preparations

The rheological properties of Euflexxa, Orthovisc, Supartz, Monovisc, Synvisc, Synvisc-One, Gel-One and Hyalgan intra-articular hyaluronic acid (IA-HA) products used to treat knee osteoarthritis (OA) were obtained. The values for molecular weight, cross-linking, shear rate and crossover frequency parameters were then compared to the values for healthy knee synovial fluid reported within the current literature.
