Arthroscopic capsular release of glenohumeral ligament increases ROM in frozen shoulder
Arthroscopy. 2010 Apr;26(4):529-3574 patients scheduled for arthroscopic capsular release for frozen shoulder were randomized to undergo release of the capsule from the superior glenohumeral ligament (SGHL) to the anterior band of the inferior glenohumeral ligament (IGHL) alone or in combination of additional release of the inferior and posterior structures of the IGHL. The capsule release from the SGHL to the anterior band of the IGHL was found to have an increased ROM. Additional release of the inferior and posterior structures of the IGHL did not provide any significant additional benefit.
