Dermabond provides good cosmetic and functional outcomes for nail bed lacerations
J Hand Surg Am. 2008 Feb;33(2):250-340 patients presenting with acute laceration of the nail bed were included in this study to assess the efficacy of Dermabond treatment. Patients were randomized to a group receiving traditional suture repair or Dermabond treatment. Results from final follow-up of 6 months indicated no differences in physician or patient rated cosmetic appearance. Both groups demonstrated similar functional and pain outcomes, but the Dermabond group required significantly less time for treatment.
