Single- and double-row anchor repair for full thickness rotator cuff tears

53 patients with full thickness rotator cuff tears were randomized to repair using either double or single row anchors. The results at two year follow-up indicate that there were no significant differences in clinical or imaging outcomes. For tears that were greater than 3 cm, double row repair provided significantly greater strength outcomes at the final follow-up.
