Both Bio-interference screw and femoral transfixation in ACL repair provide good results

30 patients presenting with a chronic unilateral tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) were randomized to compare the clinical and mechanical outcomes of two different methods of femoral fixation. Patients underwent fixation using either Bio-interference screws or Bio TransFix femur extra cortical transverse fixation. At an average of 13 month follow-up, there were no differences in IKDC scores, side to side laxity, or complications between the two interventions.
