14 randomized trials were identified (1179 fractures) that assessed the use of calcium phosphate bone cement during fracture reduction. The results of this meta-analysis indicated that calcium phosphate bone cement reduced the prevalence of pain when compared to controls, who did not receive bone grafts. Furthermore, the results indicated a reduced loss of reduction in comparison to autogenous bone grafting. Non-pooled results independently reported better function with the use of calcium phosphate bone cement.
