Three successful treatments for trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis
J Hand Surg Am. 2012 Mar;37(3):411-7. Epub 2012 Feb 3174 thumbs suffering from trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis were randomized to assess the efficacy of two different ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition methods, in comparison to trapezoid excision alone. Results at a minimum of 5 year follow-up demonstrated no differences in reported pain, function, range of motion and complications between the three groups.
