Eighty-six patients (118 knees) scheduled for total knee arthroplasty were randomized to receive TKA with or without patellar resurfacing. Fifty-seven patients (78 knees) were followed for 10 years. There were no significant differences in pain (global or anterior), Knee Society scores, patient satisfaction, or overall revision rates.
