71 patients who were scheduled to undergo Duracon total knee arthroplasty were randomized to receive either a computer-assisted method or the conventional jig based method. The results from 5 year follow-up demonstrated that there were no significant differences between the two groups in regards to both function and patient reported satisfaction. However, it was found that patients in the computer-assisted group displayed significant improvement in alignment. Lastly, no revision surgeries were reported in either group.
