120 female subjects with nonspecific chronic back pain were randomised to receive a semi-intensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation intervention in an outpatient setting or to an individual physiotherapy intervention. The primary outcomes were pain, disability, and other patient-oriented results. Results indicated that the semi-intensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation intervention was not advantageous when compared to the individual physiotherapy intervention.
