Acupressure improves pain, function, and disability for low back pain up to 6 months
BMJ. 2006 Mar 25;332(7543):696-700. Epub 2006 Feb 17129 patients with chronic low back pain were randomised to undergo either an acupressure intervention or a physical therapy intervention for one month. The primary outcomes examined were pain, function, and disability (Roland and Morris disability questionnaire, Modified Oswestry disability questionnaire). The results indicated that acupressure was effective in reducing low back pain for up to 6-months.
