Teno Fix tendon repair device safe and efficacious in tendon injury treatment
J Bone Joint Surg Am. 2006 Mar;88 Suppl 1 Pt 1:37-4967 patients with an isolated zone-II flexor tendon injury were randomised to undergo treatment using the Teno Fix tendon repair device or a four stranded cruciate suture repair. Clinical and functional outcomes were examined. The results indicated that the Teno Fix device is safe and efficacious in treating tendon injuries if the tendon is of sufficient size and exposure. This intervention also resulted in lower rupture rates compared to the suture repair treatment.
