A neuromuscular warm-up program has no effect on female soccer performance
Knee Surg Sports Traumatol Arthrosc. 2012 Oct;20(10):2116-23. Epub 2011 Dec 28.

52 adolescent female soccer (football) players were included this study to evaluate the effect of neuromuscular warm-up on performance tests. Participants were randomized into an intervention group that underwent a 15 minute neuromuscular warm-up program twice a week for 11 weeks, or to a control group that did not receive the warm up. The results of the study suggest that a neuromuscular warm-up program does not significantly improve athletic performance compared to baseline measures in young female football players.
