70 patients with Adhesive Capsulitis of the shoulder were randomly placed into either of the following treatment groups: group 1, intra-articular hyaluronic acid injections with physical therapy (HAPT group); or group 2, physical therapy alone (PT group). Both groups experienced improvements in terms of pain, disability, and quality of life after the treatments; in addition, the active and passive range of motion improved with increasing treatment duration over 3 months. No significant differences were found between the two treatments.
