AOSSM: Early ACL reconstruction more cost-effective than delayed reconstruction
Two methods of ACL reconstruction, early ACL reconstruction (ER) and rehabilitation with delayed reconstruction (DR,) have been shown to result in similar outcomes (KOOS). These to differing treatment methods were examined to compare their cost-effectiveness. Results indicated that early reconstruction was both more effective in terms of quality-adjusted life years gained and less costly than the delayed reconstruction method.
