200 patients, undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA), were randomized to receive surgery using a computer electromagnetic navigated method or a conventional non-navigated method, to determine the effect of navigated TKA on functional outcomes. Following assessments over a 12 month period, there were no significant differences in functional outcomes between the two TKA procedures.
