Comparison of Intraarticular analgesics following arthroscopic knee surgery
Knee Surg Sports Traumatol Arthrosc. 2011 Nov;19(11):1884-9. doi: 10.1007/s00167-011-1497-x. Epub 2011 Apr 6120 patients undergoing arthroscopic meniscectomy were randomized to either receive intraarticular magnesium sulphate, levobupivacaine, lornoxicam, or placebo (saline), to determine the efficacy of the drugs on postoperative pain. All three of theses treatments provided significant pain relief compared to placebo. Lornoxicam was the most effective at up to 48 hours.
