AAOS: Early mobilization effective within 1st 6 weeks after mini-open rotator cuff repair
187 patients with full-thickness rotator cuff tear undergoing mini-open rotator cuff repair (MORCR) were randomized to begin early mobilization right after surgery or to receive traditional immobilization treatment, in order to compare the clinical outcomes from both treatment methods. Following assessments over a 6 month period, results indicated that there were no significant differences in power, range of motion, quality of life, or pain between the two methods.
