AAOS: Double row repair prior to accelerated rehabilitation reduces risk of re-tear
60 patients undergoing rotator cuff repair were randomized to receive either single row repair or double row repair followed by accelerated rehabilitation, in order to compare the re-tear rates between methods. Results from post-surgical assessments indicated that patients who underwent double row repair had a significantly lower re-tear rate compared to those who underwent single row repair.
