12 papers (1114 patients (1265 knees)) were selected for inclusion in this meta-analysis to compare posterior cruciate-retaining and posterior stabilized prostheses in TKA, assessing range of motion, flexion, and complication rates. Data demonstrated better flexion and range of motion in posterior-stabilized prosthesis, but no difference in complication rates. The clinical significance of the differences between these has yet to be identified.
