TKA: Interactive virtual telerehabilitation and conventional rehab equally effective

181 patients were randomized to either receive interactive virtual telerehabilitation or conventional out-patient physical therapy following total knee arthroplasty (TKA), in order to compare the treatment outcomes. Following assessments over a 3 month period, results exhibited that patients who received treatment with the interactive virtual telerehabilitation system improved similarly and just as effectively to those who completed sessions of standard clinical protocol of TKA rehabilitation.
