ISAKOS: No differences between PT and HS grafts in ACL reconstruction
The trial conducted a long term follow up of a randomized trial investigate the differences between graft types in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. 65 patients were randomized to either using patellar tendon (PT) or hamstring tendon (HS) graft. 15 year results demonstrated no differences in patient related and functional outcomes of both procedures; however, osteoarthritis risk depended on the age of the patient.
