Partial weightbearing is not necessary after cementless total hip arthroplasty
International Orthopaedics; 2011; 35; 1139–1143100 elderly patients who were scheduled to undergo cementless total hip arthroplasty (THA) were randomized into a full or partial weightbearing group. The results from the 2 year follow up indicated that there were no significant differences between the two groups in regards to the Merle d' Aubigne (MDA) hip or pain scores.
