Postoperative rehabilitation does not improve functional outcome in lumbar spinal stenosis

102 patients who were surgically treated for lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) were randomized to receive rehabilitation or standard postoperative treatment. The results of the 2 year follow-up indicated that the two groups displayed no significant differences in regards to disability, pain and patient satisfaction. However, all outcomes significantly improved in each group at 2 year follow-up.
