COA: Shoulder pain & function improve similarly with exercise and adjuvant taping or NSAID

100 patients with subacromial impingement syndrome were randomized to determine the effect of adjuvant kinesiology taping with exercise compared to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with exercise. Both of these treatments were also compared to a group who received exercise alone. The results after the 2-week exercise program indicated that there were no significant differences between the three groups concerning pain reduction. Activities of daily living and functional arm level were both significantly improved in both treatment groups compared to exercise alone.
