159 patients with knee instability, as a symptom of osteoarthritis, enrolled in this study to examine the benefits of knee stabilization exercises included in a standard muscle strengthening and performance in daily activities routine. Patients were randomized to participate in one of two 12 week exercise programs. The experimental group received knee stability training in addition to the control program which involved muscle strengthening and performance of daily activities. Results suggest no advantages to adding knee stability exercises to the conventional program.
