30 patients undergoing elective primary THA were randomized to receive either 0.1% or 0.2% ropivacaine for lumbar plexus infusion, to compare postoperative opioid consumption between these concentrations. No significant differences were observed between groups with respect to postoperative opioid consumption, function, pain, patient satisfaction, and hospital stay. Results suggest that 0.1% ropivacaine provides similar postoperative analgesia to 0.2% ropivacaine.
