108 patients scheduled for total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were randomized to undergo either a computer-assisted minimally invasive total knee arthroplasty or conventional total knee arthroplasty. The computer-assisted minimally invasive total knee arthroplasty led to improved, early rate of functional recovery before one month. It demonstrated greater advantage over conventional total knee arthroplasty for improved postoperative radiographic alignment, without any increase in short-term complications.
