No difference between bipolar/unipolar hemiarthroplasty in displaced femoral-neck fracture
Int Orthop. 2014 Aug;38(8):1691-69 randomized controlled trials comparing bipolar and unipolar hemiarthroplasty in elderly patients with displaced femoral-neck fractures were included in this meta-analysis. Investigators aimed to quantitatively compare the clinical efficacy and complications of both types of hemiarthroplasty. Findings indicated that there was no statistically significant difference in any of the measured outcome variables between bipolar and unipolar hemiarthroplasty in displaced femoral-neck fractures in older patients.
