49 patients undergoing ACL reconstruction using autologous four-strand hamstring tendon grafts were randomized to either receive normal or minimal debridement surgical techniques. The results at the 2 month follow-up period indicate that the minimal debridement technique results in earlier revascularization, however this does no provide an increased rate of strength recovery in the graft.
