Shoulder instability: High failure rates observed with arthroscopic transglenoid sutures
J Bone Joint Surg Br. 2007 Sep;89(9):1188-96This meta-analysis and systematic review identified 62 studies that compared various arthroscopic stabilization techniques, In addition to comparing the failure rates of arthroscopic and open methods. The results from this analysis indicate that a higher failure rate is seen with the use of staples or arthroscopic transglenoid suture techniques than open techniques or arthroscopic stabilization with suture anchors or bio-absorbable tacks.
