Pulsed radiofrequency effective treatment option for degenerative spondylolisthesis
Eur Spine J. 2014 Sep;23(9):1927-32Eighty adult patients suffering from facet joint pain due to degenerative spondylolisthesis were randomly assigned to pulsed radiotherapy (PRF) or standard steroid injection to compare the following outcome measures: pain relief, functional status, patient satisfaction, and total analgesic dosage. At 6 months post-treatment, patients who received PRF demonstrated a significant reduction in NRS pain score, ODI %, and need for analgesics, and a higher patient satisfaction compared to those who received standard steroid injection.
