Survivorship of cementless components in total knee arthroplasty

37 articles were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis investigating survivorship of cementless component in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Four RCT's were available for meta-analysis comparing cementless and cemented fixation in total knee arthroplasty. Pooled survivorship for various postoperative time intervals up to a minimum of 10 years was consistently 95% or higher, and meta-analysis of RCTs demonstrated no significant difference in survivorship between cementless and cemented fixation. Supplementary screw fixation did not exhibit a significant impact on cementless TKA survivorship rates.
