Arthritis Care Res (Hoboken). 2014 Nov;66(11):1680-7.

78 patients with medial knee osteoarthritis (OA) who had completed a 12-week physiotherapist-supervised exercise trial were randomized to either receive two 30-minute physiotherapy booster sessions or no sessions for the consecutive 24 weeks, with all patients instructed to continue home exercises 4 times weekly. This study aimed to determine if two additional appointments of physiotherapy would improve exercise adherence and outcomes over a 24 week period. There was no significant difference in VAS-pain, WOMAC physical function and adherence to home exercises between the groups.
